To Our Fans:

On behalf of the MLS Philadelphia 2010 ownership group, I have to once again say THANK YOU to our amazing fans. All of you continue to blow us away with your enthusiastic support as season ticket deposits roll in every day. Already well over 4,000 season ticket reservations have been made and we’re still 23 months away from playing. That means more than 20 percent of the stadium’s seating capacity is spoken for with fans like you! Unbelievable! We will do everything in our power to continue to earn your support.

A recent headline in the Delaware County Times said it best: “Soccer stadium plans rolling along.” A flurry of activity is under way behind the scenes and in Chester so that our Philadelphia team has a proper soccer stadium to call home in 2010.

Our first order of business is building a great stadium. We have been working diligently on important issues such as design and stadium amenities and all the other behind-the-scenes stuff that needs to happen before construction can begin. The local and state officials have been terrific partners, and our goal is to break ground on the soccer-specific stadium this fall. That’s going to be a great day for our fans and the City of Chester.

Now that we’re settled in to our offices we plan on keeping you up to speed on what we’ve been doing since MLS Commissioner Don Garber awarded us the 16th MLS team back on Feb. 28. You will be getting a packet in the mail with more information about the team and the future. Also we are planning a MLS Philly 2010 season ticket depositor event at a DC United game with a free tailgate and discounted tickets later this summer. We will be announcing the date for that event in the next couple of weeks.

Also this fall, you’ll be hearing more about how you can get involved in helping us choose our team name. That’s a critical decision and we want our fans to be a part of it!

Come next spring we will have additional information about seat selection, pricing and seating options.
